Empire total war and Napoleon total war

-Commit all of my forces to huge milling battle in the center of the field
-Starting to push Tokugawa back
-"So and so has betrayed you"
-1000 enemy troops storming downhill
-Run into the back of my army
-Half my units rout within 25 seconds

if your starting out go with rome or medival 2 then after a little bit try out empire if you like empire get napoleon. if you dont like empire then skip to shogun 2

I do almost the same, but I save 2 or 3 yari ashigaru and 2 bow ashigaru guarding my general at the hill where you start. I must polish it a little, as I always obtain a "Close defeat" xD the best result I had was a "Costly defeat" that said that my enemy won but their dead were scattered all over the field

I also tried to send at the start of the game 1 unit of katana cavalry to kill Leyasu Tokugawa, beign successfull, but it didn't helped a lot.
