Gotcha. And my point was that if he knowingly did that then he's stupid for thinking Catholics are TEH EEEEVIL. And I'm not catholic, FYI.

So..
Another difference between Obama and McCain is that Obama removed his Pastor from the campaign when he realized that some things were potentially very polarizing. McCain accepted the endorsement of this controversial religious figure without qualms. You could try to spin that as "democrats can be influenced by poles to easily while republicans always stand their ground like manly men," but I don't think that's the truth.

I understand what your saying, but Obama had to remove him and for purely political reasons only. McCain may have accepted Hagees endorsement, but I think its safe to say that he doesn't share many, if any, of his beliefs.

Can you say the same of a man Obama has been friends with for 20 years? Just because he removed him from the campaign doesn't mean he doesn't share some of his beliefs.

Yet Wright said somethings that were true about America. America has become self consuming. There is a big difference on believing in being something, and actually being something. America has done somethings, that are not considered...good. Yet that doesn't mean that he should do those racist remarks. While John, accepted endorsement, from perhaps the biggest weirdo in the world, a man who believes that there is going to be this rapture...pft my ass.

John McCain probably accepted the support, not out of stricly shared beliefs (that would be horrifying if true), but out of a need to raise money to attempt to defeat Obama or Clinton in a few months.

To his credit, McCain did say that he doesn't believe everything that the televangelist says, but he didn't get specific enough. I don't really care about the gays/Hurricane Katrina conspiracy theory the guy was pushing or the Catholism is the "great whore" diatribe: John McCain can't be stupid enough to entertain those ideas. I would like to hear McCain state his opinion on Hagee's Israel/Palestine position, though; that is the most important question raised by that clip, going into the 7th year of the War on Terror. A President who continues "not to get" the Israel/Palestine situation probably won't be able to make any improvements at all in Iraq, Afghanistan, or anywhere else in the Muslim world.

I really like Legion's video playing features, it's very cinematic how the margins darken like in a movie theater!

At least, he doesn't seek support from Pat.
