Are we supposed to pick the semifinal games?
I looked it up, and the four teams playing for the medals have already been determined. Game 8 is the USA vs. South Korea. Japan will play the winner of Game 8 for the gold, and the Dominican Republic will play the loser of Game 8 for the bronze.

Japan won the Gold (2-0) and Dominican Rep won the Bronze (10-6). Final Standings:
* winner of the tiebreaker A surprising win for me. Thanks for the competition. I am going to suggest for the next olympics that we predict entire brackets. This round by round stuff is very taxing.

Baseball won't be in the Paris Olympic program. It's expected to be back for Los Angeles in 2028, but it's not official yet. But agreed, this format was terrible.
Of all people, I lost the contest because of my MLB team's (Cardinals) former closer, Seung-hwan Oh, giving up 5 runs to the Dominican Republic in the 8th inning of the bronze medal game. Had he kept it clean, I would have had the exact total and team on the tiebreaker. Oh no! 1 slot of tech ordered for Firkinvald.
