No, it was not constructed to keep out Zombies, but yes, Mongols are Zombies, which was why they were able to get across anyway.

On a more serious note, Chinese people do not bear a grudge against the Mongols for attacking and conquering us in the past, but rather consider Mongolians to be part Chinese since they were assimilated into Chinese culture. And because I grew up near Mongolia (in Hohhot, a city in the autonomous province named Inner Mongolia, China), Mongolians were a common sight and their culture is actually quite cool. To learn more about Mongolians, ask more specific questions.
