Battleships are too slow to hit the A-Wings, gotta TIE spam the hell out of them.

Yeah. Imperials are awesome in that game. Imperial ships spawn Tie Fighters and Bombers, on top of the ones that you bring in anyway. Plus the Death Star gives you one shot kills every time it fires, and Darth Vaders ship is only slightly smaller than a planet, and appropriately resilient. Now I know they're technically the bad guys, but the Empire is brilliant in Empire at War.

In a battle, I deployed 20 sets of A-Wings (20x4) and I destroyed their space station and in the end of the match screen (that shows the casualties) I had none, and they had 98 TIE fighters, 37 TIE bombers, 16 Capital Ships, 1 Level 5 Space Station, and several other variations of the fighters and capital ships. Also the battle only lasted 38 minutes.
