2024 NCAA March Madness (Men's and Women's College Basketball)
Every March, millions of Americans fill out brackets for the NCAA Division I basketball championships, as part of a tournament widely known as "March Madness". Office pools are involved, along with a ton of legal (and illegal) gambling. There are plenty of upsets, and so-called "Cinderellas" (worse-seeded teams that make deep runs). It's a sports phenomenon like no other.
Once again, I will be hosting an ESPN Tournament Challenge group for The Legion and friends, and that will serve as the contest platform. For the first time, I will also host a group for the women's tournament. Both will use standard ESPN.com scoring (I don't really have a choice), and you will be allowed to submit up to 3 brackets for each contest (your best brackets will be used when taking results). As usual, there will be a Legion Cup bonus point for the player with the most correct picks, regardless of round. This makes up two separate contests in the Legion Cup, as well as the North American and Basketball mini-cups. Each winner will also receive two slot-equivalents as a prize. March Madness is over. Full results will come later (once I figure out the spreadsheet), but here are the winners. Firkinvald defeated Deadpocketss on a tiebreaker in the men's contest, while king qaz came out victorious in the women's contest. I will send out their prizes shortly.
