Super Bowl LVIII was played tonight. Congratulations to the Kansas City Chiefs, who repeated as champions by defeating the San Francisco 49ers in overtime, 25-22. (If you bet IRL on the total for this game, check your ticket. It hovered around 47.)

The total wreaked havoc on our contest. For the first time in the Legion Cup era, there was a tie between king qaz (49 points) and myself (45 points) even after applying the standard tiebreaker. The second tiebreaker is number of correct picks, which we also tied on, and we also tied on a round-based countback. Therefore, I saw no option other than to split the win between me and king qaz. We will both receive the full prize (3 slot equivalents), and I will average out the point allocations for first and second places and award those to both of us. We also both receive 2 bonus points (this being a double-points contest) for having the most correct picks.
