Argh more painting
I finished a major renovation project and today my wife runs up to me.
Wife: Guess what? Me:  Wife: MORE PAINT!  Me:  then  Wife:  Me: So now I have to do the entire upstairs and all the house trim. I also installed a new light fixture outside. Never ends. Don't buy a home and get married if you dislike home repair. Or any repair for that matter. I like doing things with my hands but they hurt

That's why my gf (soon to be wife) and me decided...apartment...on a later, much later time if we have a child...bigger apartment...in our retirement years...yet bigger apartment. I have too many bad memories of my childhood and teenage weekends spent on cleaning every corner of the house and with home improvement and my mom turning into Hitler.

I guess Im the opposite. I want to buy a house that I can fix up in my spare time. I enjoy projects like that. But I guess not if the wife makes me do it XD

I am still really young however I know I would want my own house. And I am fine with doing things on my own like painting a room or two, however if its the whole house, ill probably just find someone else to do it.
