Java programming book?
As many of you have experience in programming then I would like to ask if you know of good and comprehensive book regarding programming in Java?
I am in the process of improving my skills for a career change (even at my old age) and am studying Java as a first step in having the skills and know how for programming. I would like to have a good book as a reference material. Thanks in advance for any suggestions and advice.

Re: Java programming book?
I never learned Java myself but my brother read Sams Teach Yourself Java in 24 Hours and it seemed to be a pretty good guide.
