States wanting to secede?
According to the United States White House's (head of the Executive Branch to those unfamiliar) program for popular petitions called "We the People", several states (Texas, Louisiana, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, etc.) are advocating secession from the Union.
Check it out! TEXAS! This is kinda a big deal. Seeing as only 25,000 signatures are required for an audience and Texas has 83,000 signatures...so far. Holy cow!

It'll never actually happen. But the fact that the Obama administration will have to make a formal announcement regarding these petitions is interesting. It is still an interesting way to voice their concerns, even if it is a little much.
