You may think that as a pun and i agree with the sentiment but.....there actually is a wall built back in the 80s in Belfast that divides a rather large urban housing area. On one side is Catholic Republicans, the other side Protestant Unionists. The gates are locked every night and the wall is a hotspot for harmlesss flare rockets and pyrotechnics.

I do not know if this is on topic, But a proposed initiative to split the U.S. state of California into six states to increase their senator count from 2 to 12.

If it happens there will be Civil War!! (slavery was minor compared to this change)

If the number of Flag Stars is changed this will be an moment of opportunity for the nations that are applying to join the US

Will a Hard Brexit provide options to apply for Statehood?

The additional States option has been used before to maintain balance in Politics

I think a lot of people (myself included) would find that bolded notion (slavery being "minor" compared to splitting up a state) to be quite offensive. Treating humans as property because of their race is a gross violation of the basic human rights we should all be guaranteed. Dividing a state for political reasons is peanuts compared to violating basic human rights.

The Issue is the Number, Repeat Number of Slave States to Non-Slave States.

The Slave States saw that with Lincoln in the White House; The Lesser number of Slave State Senators would allow Lincoln to Amend the Constitution to remove Slavery.

And that is why the Civil War Happened.

Democratic Party Beliefs are So Different than Republican Views that adding 10 more Democratic Senators will cause Civil War Again.

Except that there wouldn't be 10 more Democratic senators. Assuming you're referring to the Six Californias proposal from a few years ago, legal scholar Vikram Amar posited that two of the new "Californias" would in fact be solidly Republican, while only two others would be solidly Democratic. The other two would effectively be toss-ups. In addition, the Democratic congressional delegation from California generally opposed the idea, while other opponents of the proposal called it a pro-Republican "power play". How does that imply a benefit for Democrats?

Yes however they are being careful in case they set a precident for other ex colonies to request apologies for the many atrocities commited by the then British Empire.

So Boris Johnson is the British PM. Hes really turning up the heat on a "No Deal Brexit" however I cant help but feel hes full of hot air because Parliament will never allow it. He cannot change the agreement successfully imo.
