There Will Be Blood (2007) Fantastic movie, best performance of Daniel Day Lewis's career. The grit and realness of the humanity shown is superb.

Psycho (1960)
Infamous for its shower scene, but immortal for its contribution to the horror genre. Because Psycho was filmed with tact, grace, and art, Hitchcock didn't just create the foundation of modern horror, he validated it to the general masses.

For my third selection, I pick Terminator 2: Judgment Day.
The blockbuster sequel to the immensely enjoyable Terminator (1984), Terminator 2 (1991) set up audiences around the world for a massive reversal of expections, turning the steely Arnold Schwarzenegger from a villainous killer cybernetic robot into a good guy’s killer cybernetic robot. The revolutionary feature of this film, moreover, was the first computer-generated character on film-the shape shifting, liquid metal T-1000 (played by Robert Patrick). This film is a must-see for anyone interested in a good time.
