Homework Help Thread - for all homework needs

So this is homework thread , hmm , nice , I guess as the last post was on 2016 , everyone has passed school , so there are few logic reasoning question I have to solve , so plz help
The questions are as follows : ( and plz tell me the explanation if u can )


1) 6 , 7 , 9 , 8 , 6 , 8 , ??? ( this one is series question )
2) An unknown polynomial is divided by (X-1) to give remainder 2 and with (X-2) to give a remainder 1. Then the remainder resulting when the same polynomial is divided by
(X-1)(X-2) . ( this one I didn’t got a clue what to do )

As such I don’t have much expectations as I don’t know how many of u will have time to help me , but here goes nothing .

The unknown polynomial is x^2 - 4x + 5, which is (x-2)^2 + 1 and (x-1)(x-3) + 2. Divide that by (x-1)(x-2) = x^2 - 3x + 2, which in this case is as simple as subtracting the second polynomial from the first.
