I know I'm a bit late, but congrats on 10 years. I know a lot of people here dislike me these days, but I got my start in CN in The Legion, I was here through some of the darkest times, and I made a lot of friends who I still talk to, 9 years later, in The Legion. There's a lot of good people who have been in this alliance and there were a lot of great times. This really was a great place to start off in CN. I'm glad I lived through the impeachment trials and tribulations, the departure and return of Great Britain, GW2 and GW3, the beginning of the Valhalla splinter, and even returning during Purplegate. There were a lot of really good times that I had here.

Hi Legionnaires!
It is a great honour for me to write here today, your humble Founder, former President, Foreign Minister and Cabinet Advisor, after re-registering on the forum today, of this truly historic alliance in cyber nations, that we love and call The Legion. The Legion story started on the 31st of January 2006, a very long time ago now, although in strange way, it almost feels like yesterday... I am not an active participant anymore on cybernations, as you would have noticed, and have not been for quite some time, however, The Legion is as close to my heart as any game alliance can be, and so I do check on The Legion forum from time to time, although strictly as an observer. Today, however, is a different day, after reading Konkrage's brilliant anniversary statement, something changed. I felt inclined to break a wall of silence, one that has lasted many years, and re-register to post this message. 10 years is a very long time in life, and in a game alliance, it can feel like a 100 years, wars coming and going, alliances coming together and falling apart, so on and so on... And so, for a game alliance to last this amount of time, is quite impressive indeed. It truly is a pleasure to view The Legions success from afar, and the longevity it has achieved, and of course, those who remain active here, deserve all the credit for that. I do not know anyone here personally, most of my communication during my time actively in The Legion was IC, however, on occasion I did share a moment OOC with Sinatra, we happened to live nearby to each other (or did), which was kind of funny, I believe he ended up going to the same university as me, maybe he remembers these conversations? Funny times indeed. Anywho, without getting misty eyed, babbling and over-reminiscing, I will wrap up this statement. I wont spend time here repeating any old information about the early days, as I have noticed enough has been written about that already, including a short story which was posted here: http://www.avelegio.net/forums/showthread.php?t=49899 Instead, however, I will simply wish this great alliance, The Legion, every success in the future, and hopefully in 10 years time, we can reminisce once more! I may well check on this forum occasionally, to view threads such as this, however, other than that, I will remain as I have been for some time now, a casual observer.
