Default 2023–24 NFL Playoffs
The National Football League (NFL) is the highest level of professional American football in the United States, and consequently the world, and it is the most popular sports league in the US. Its annual championship game, known as the Super Bowl, is the most-watched annual broadcast on American television, and several Super Bowls hold records as the most watched telecasts in American history. This year's Super Bowl, known as Super Bowl LVIII (58), will be played in the Las Vegas area. The Kansas City Chiefs are the defending champions, after defeating the Philadelphia Eagles in last year's Super Bowl.

14 teams (7 from each conference) qualify for the NFL playoffs, which are contested over 4 single-elimination rounds (Wild Card, Divisional, Championship, and Super Bowl). The 4 division winners are seeded 1-4, and the 3 wild-card teams (the best 3 non-division winners) are seeded 5-7. The better seed hosts each game before the Super Bowl, regardless of record (e.g. a 4 seed with a worse record than a 5 seed would still host that game). The 1 seeds receive a bye to the Divisional round. The bracket is re-seeded within each conference after the Wild Card round, meaning the 1 seed will play the worst remaining seed in that conference, and the other two seeds will play each other.

This contest is part of the 2023-24 Legion Cup. It also awards points for the North American Cup. The prize is 3 slot-equivalents, making this contest worth double points for both the Legion Cup and North American Cup.

The Wild Card round will be played Saturday-Monday, January 13-15, and will be worth 1 point per correct pick. Here are the match-ups and start times (home teams listed first):

  • (AFC 3) Kansas City Chiefs vs. (AFC 6) Miami Dolphins (Sat 7:15 PM)
  • (AFC 2) Buffalo Bills vs. (AFC 7) Pittsburgh Steelers (Sun 12:05 PM Mon 3:35 PM)
  • (NFC 4) Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. (NFC 5) Philadelphia Eagles (Mon 7:15 PM)
  • (NFC 3) Detroit Lions vs. (NFC 6) Los Angeles Rams (Sun 7:15 PM)
  • (NFC 2) Dallas Cowboys vs. (NFC 7) Green Bay Packers (Sun 3:40 PM)

As of this writing, picks for the Browns/Texans game have closed, but the other games remain open. The Bills/Steelers game has been postponed to Monday at 3:35 PM due to snow, so the deadline has been adjusted accordingly.

The Wild Card round finished Monday night, and it was a weekend of blowouts. Here are the results:
  • Houston defeats Cleveland, 45-14
  • Kansas City defeats Miami, 26-7
  • Green Bay defeats Dallas, 48-32
  • Detroit defeats Los Angeles Rams, 24-23
  • Buffalo defeats Pittsburgh, 31-17
  • Tampa Bay defeats Philadelphia, 32-9

king qaz was the only contest player to correctly pick the Packers' upset win over the Cowboys, but he was unable to take advantage, as he was also the only one to incorrectly guess the Rams to beat the Lions. Here is the full results matrix:
