Legion Nostalgia Thread
Ahhhhh, nostalgia.
It's probably true that, for better or worse, this alliance has the most history of any alliance on Planet Bob. This is a place to share your happy or sad memories of the Legion. Now, no trolling or flaming please and no indepth discussion of people's answers. If this thread turns sour it will be damn shame and I will ask a mod to delete the entire thread. And then I'll introduce myself to your sister. The idea came to me when I was chatting to Pezstar and I remembered the 'anti-cabinesta' movement with a smile (old water under old bridges) and that got me remembering stuff from the past like blaming Midas for everything - Midas or people not believing how long it was taking me to get the basics of IRC. so :havefun:

Re: Legion Nostalgia Thread
I remember being a very young nation when GW3 broke out. I had just gotten my first full-time job in something like 8 years (I've been in college a long time), and I was rolling in dough. So I was going to make a $20 donation to beef up for the war. Then I went to the threads and IRC and found that a very big nation, Lord Swampy, was asking if anyone would do a donation in his name, stating that he would pay them $3million for it. I was dumbfounded and took him up on the offer--I had never dreamed of getting an aid package that large (this was when Legion Living Grants were small, like $120k. He was very grateful, and I was ecstatic to actually have a big nation speaking to me. Shortly I found that Sir Galahad was in need of a donation also, and I did the same for him. For a few months I was thinking I had found the road to easy money, and I got a huge boost to my economy off trading donations for in-game cash. I can't remember when I stopped the practice, but I think I only ever did 4 or 5 of them.
