I never played Pokemon growing up, but I did collect the cards. I had no idea what to do with them, but I thought it was fun regardless. Similarly, I'm out here collecting all these pokes and trying to power level, but I have no idea what to do with these things now that I'm getting to be a decent level.

So a corporation uses a pocket device capture creatures it comes into contact with, forcing them into demeaning tasks, because powerful individuals want to fill out a database on the various creatures of the world. For fairness, they divide the creatures into teams.


PokemonGo is the real trainers letting their Pokemon play with imaginary Pokemon.

How do I get this game? I've been hearing the weirdest stuff about what people are doing playing it.
Do I need to understand the pokemon "world" to play it? Never played any of it's games, and it must have been more 10 years since I list saw an episode.

Its a phone app. You need a fairly new phone to handle the game as in the past few years. iphone 5 and up I think for a comparison. And no you need 0 prior knowledge of pokemon to enjoy the game as it has very little connection to it and the game mechanics are very different.

Basically it works off your gps on your phone. Walk around in places and you'll find pokemon. You use your finger to flick the pokeballs at them and catch them. Catch more of the same pokes to power one. You can get free items from places called pokestops. You'll see them on your map, basically go to a town of any size and you'll find a ton of them. Colleges are amazing places to rack up tons of them.

This is a vast oversimplification so if you get invovled you can look up and learn more but the basics is you walk around throwing pokeballs at things on a screen.
