2017 NFL Playoffs

This contest will run throughout the playoffs and will include the Super Bowl.

You will make your predictions for one round (weekend) at a time.

You will earn points as follows:
1 point for each correct prediction in the first 2 rounds.
2 points for each correct prediction in the Conference Championships.
4 points for correctly predicting the winner of the Super Bowl.

The winner is the one with the most points at the end of the playoffs. The winner will receive his choice of 200 tech or 12,000,000 (18,000,000) cash.

This week’s games are:
Oakland Raiders at Houston Texans
Detroit Lions at Seattle Seahawks
Miami Dolphins at Pittsburgh Steelers
New York Giants at Green Bay Packers

Your predictions are due by the end of the day on Friday, January 6, 2017.

I don't trust either the Raiders or the Texans. I'll go with the Texans because I live three hours from them (not a fan, though).

The Lions and the Seahawks are both slumping, but I believe the Seahawks' leadership and the crowd will shine in a win for the home team.

I would say the same thing about the Steelers, but they got pounded by Jay Ajayi when these two teams met earlier this season. (He was on my second-place fantasy team.) If the Dolphins get Tannehill back, I'll take them. But I'll stick with the Steelers this week, since I don't want another Patriots-Dolphins game.

I hate both the Giants and the Packers. I'd hate it if the Giants go on one of their infamous playoff runs and knock out both the Cowboys and the Patriots, my two favorite teams (in reverse order). That means I'll have to pick the Packers. I'd love to see a Cowboys-Packers matchup, which I'm predicting. That should be a great game.

Chiefs vs. Texans (old Texans vs. new Texans)

Just as some of my logic on my picks:

I would've picked Oakland, but their QB is gonzo.
Seattle and Russ just have too much playoff experience, I think they overpower Detroit, but the volatility of their performance means I have no idea wtf is going to happen.
Steelers have AB, Big Ben, and the best RB in the game right now. Couple that with a solid Defense and I see them getting the W.
Green Bay has been on a real hot streak and have one of the best QBs to play. Hard to bet against Rodgers.
