Anyone like the American Top Gear, I kind of do, its interesting to watch but the hosts definitely don't have the she same chemistry of Jeremey, James, and Richard. Also I just learned that the show has a Russian and Australian adaptation as well.

BELEAGUERED BBC chiefs last night found themselves embroiled in yet another controversy over one of its presenters after the Top Gear star Jeremy Clarkson reportedly branded Gordon Brown a "one-eyed Scottish idiot".
The outspoken BBC star, one of the corporation's highest earners, also accused the Prime Minster of lying, in comments reportedly made in Australia, where he is hosting a live stage version of the hit show.

The BBC is already struggling to deal with mounting criticism of its sacking of presenter Carol Thatcher for referring to a leading tennis player off-air as a "golliwog".

Now it is likely to face demands to take action against Clarkson, who escaped punishment in November for making a joke about lorry drivers murdering prostitutes.

Mr Brown lost his sight in one eye during after an accident playing rugby as a teenager.

He almost lost the sight in the other and underwent three operations in three years to save his sight.

Clarkson is reputed to be on a BBC salary worth £2 million for his work on Top Gear.

Speaking at a press conference in Sydney, the 48-year-year-old star reportedly compared Mr Brown with the Australian premier, Kevin Rudd, after the latter had just addressed the country on the global financial crisis. According to reports in the Australian newspaper, Clarkson said: "It's the first time I've ever seen a world leader admit we really are in deep s***.

"He genuinely looked terrified. The poor man, he's actually seen the books.

"(In the UK] we've got this one-eyed Scottish idiot," Clarkson said. "He keeps telling us everything's fine and he's saved the world and we know he's lying, but he's smooth at telling us."

Clarkson then reportedly insulted British fans who watch the filming of Top Gear, saying: "You should see some of the apes that turn up."

He is said to have added that he did not care whether the show's motorcycle stuntmen got injured.

"They're French, so if they get killed it's not the end of the world," he added.
