Borderlands (Xbox 360)
For those of you who don't know or are wondering:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Borderl...8video_game%29 So as of now I am considering purchasing Borderlands for my 360, and I just wanted to know if anyone out there has an opinion on the game for me, it doesn't matter if it's good or bad, I just want feedback. I've played about 10 minutes of the game myself and sorta liked it, but I don't want to make the investment if in the long run I'll end up hating it. Re: Borderlands (Xbox 360)
It's great. I'm actually considering getting a 360 just for borderlands, once I get the money.
I was housesitting my sister's place when she was in New York, and her fiancee has it. I played the game for probably 15 hours that week, and never got tired of it. Her fiancee has 4 different characters, each one of them has been active longer than mine. He still plays the game all the time.

Re: Borderlands (Xbox 360)
If you're looking to pickup Borderlands, seems like now is a good time. Looks like Best Buy, Gamestop, Amazon have all dropped the price to $39.99 at least at the time of this post.

Re: Borderlands (Xbox 360)
Hey! I like cel-shading!
But yeah, Borderlands...It's a fun game, but can be a little repetative. I got to one point and just kind of put it down in favor of other games. There are four characters, each with different abilities, but I started out with the Soldier, took forever playing it without coming near the end (as far as I can tell), and put it on hold. I'll get back into it at some point. The sense of humor can be pretty funny at times. A lot of the guns are awesome, for various reasons...In fact, that is almost a problem, because you can only equip a certain number of guns at a time and your carrying capacity, no matter how many powerups for it you get, never gets big enough to accomodate all the awesome weapons you run across out in the deserts. When I play the game, I invariably spend an inordinate amount of time staring at the screen trying to decide whether to toss the +3 Fire shotgun or the +4 lightning pistol because my inventory is maxed out. That leads to frustration and burnout. :/ I am curious to try out the different characters, for all of their various abilities, though. I will be coming back to it sometime. (after I beat Dragonage: Origins, Red Dead: Revolution, and Batman: Arkham Asylum, mind you...)
