Vimeo, dailymotion, Mastodon, there's lots of sites. It's just lots of content creators use youtube as it gets the most views and monetization. It's hard to say no when you get money from the fans AND site. That said, and I suppose it's easy for me to say it since I'm not a youtube creator, it was better off with private donations with near to no limitations.
