Major League Baseball is the oldest major professional sports league in the world, and today it is the premier league of baseball in North America. Every year, 12 teams (3 division champions and 3 wild card teams from both the American and National Leagues) compete for the World Series title.

The division winners are seeded 1-3, while the wild card teams are seeded 4-6. The top-2 division winners receive a bye to the Division Series, while the remaining 8 teams compete in the Wild Card Series. The third-placed division winner plays the lowest-seeded wild card team, while the two remaining wild card teams play each other. All 3 games of the best-of-3 series are at the better seed's home stadium. The winners move on to the Division series, which is best-of-5. The Championship Series and World Series are best-of-7.

Correct picks in the Wild Card Series are worth 1 point each. All games in the wild card round start on Tuesday October 1st. Here are the match-ups:
