2025 NBA Playoffs
The National Basketball Association is the highest level of men's professional basketball in North America. Every year, 16 of the league's 30 teams compete in four rounds of best-of-7 series for the right to lift the Larry O'Brien Trophy as the NBA champion. A recent twist is the Play-In Tournament involving teams seven through ten in each conference's standings, contesting a modified Page-McIntyre bracket to determine the 7 and 8 seeds. The Boston Celtics are the defending champions.
This contest will take place in the standard 16-team, four-round, straight knockout format. Correct picks will be worth 1 point each in the first and second rounds, 2 points each in the conference finals, and 4 points in the NBA Finals. This contest is part of the 2024-25 Legion Cup. It also awards points toward the North American Cup. Unless we reach the threshold of 10 participants, the prize to the winner is 2 slot-equivalents. If we reach 10 participants, the prize will be 3 slot-equivalents, and the point allocation for both cups will be doubled. The first round will begin on Saturday. Games in the first round will air on ABC, ESPN, TNT, and NBA TV, with streams available on Max (TNT games) and NBA League Pass (NBA TV games). The 8 seeds will be determined by the last two play-in games on Friday. I will edit this post and the contest calendar once that happens, ahead of their games on Sunday. Here are the match-ups and game 1 start times for the first round:

The Cleveland Cavaliers and Indiana Pacers have won their series and will play each other in the conference semifinals, to start on May 4 (time TBD). Since some game 7's may be played on that date as well, I'm posting this series early (as with others, as they come in) so that you can make picks in time. The conference semifinals are worth 1 point each.
The Celtics and Thunder have also advanced to this point. Their opponents are TBD.
