The 2024-25 Legion Cup is the second edition of the overall meta-contest for all Legion contests. Originally scheduled to be contested from August 2024 to August 2025, with preliminary contests starting in July 2024, it is divided into an overall Legion Cup and two mini-cups (North American, and Football/Soccer). Mini-cups for tennis, global sports, and women's sports were originally planned, but were canceled when their respective contests were. The winner of the Legion Cup and each mini-cup will receive a to-be-determined prize.
This meta-contest was suspended in September 2024, with only the UEFA league preliminary contests having been completed. No points were awarded to that point, and it was not intended at the time that the Cup would resume. The MLB playoff contest was held during the suspension, and no points were awarded for it. The Cup resumed in January 2025 with a reduced schedule.
Points structure
The points structure will have the following changes from 2023-24:
The UEFA Europa League and Conference League (formerly Europa Conference League) will award double points. This was delayed to 2025-26 due to the cancellation of the UEFA contest league phases and eventually canceled altogether.
The winner of a contest will no longer be eligible for a bonus point for making the most correct picks. In that event, the bonus point would be vacated.
Non-Legion members will be fully eligible for contests and prizes, including the Legion Cup and mini-cups. (This is a clarification of policy from the previous season.)
CONCACAF competitions involving teams outside of the US, Canada, and Mexico will be part of the Global Cup (edit: the Global Cup was canceled this year) instead of the North American Cup.
Preliminary contests will not award points directly to the Legion Cup or mini-cups. Instead, their rankings will be used to apply bonus points to their paired main contest using a modified Borda count. As an example, for a preliminary contest with 5 players, the winner would receive 5 bonus points, second place would receive 4, down to last, who would receive 1.

Reason: No double points for UEFA contests
