Re: Gay Marriage in New Hampshire
I dont really care if gay marriage gets legalized, I dont have any problem with it.
and why do you guys keep calling Separation of Church and State a law? Its not a law, just an idea that either Thomas Jefferson or George Mason (too lazy to look up right now) put into the Virginia Statute of Religious Freedom. It is not a law by any means, the most you could call it is a guideline.

Re: Gay Marriage in New Hampshire
Anyone who is against gay marriage simply hasn't met anyone who is truly gay. For the record, i have a sibling who who is gay. She knew she was when she was 12. She's had to endure a lifetime of discrimination and hate. I mean, there were protesters at her home when she came home from the hospital after she had her first child.
Despite what hate-filled bible thumpers will tell you, being gay isn't a choice. There is a gay-gene and 10% of all mammals have it. Not just humans, all mammals. People need to stop saying it "isn't natural" and crap like that. Look at nature, being gay is natural for 10% of the population.

Re: Gay Marriage in New Hampshire
We do tend to pick and choose our naturalness don't we? Gay is unnatural, unlike our propensity for clothing, indoor plumbing and travel by large winged tubes full of other people's farts. Love is love and is more important than body parts. And if it isn't designed to go 'there', it isn't designed for you girlfriends mouth either and I doubt you'll be giving that up.

I didn't read anything but the second page, and that was enough. Commenting on that quote. It's glorious.

Re: Gay Marriage in New Hampshire
Seperation of church and state just means on that there is no national religion and is on the national level only Massachusetts had a state religion for a very long time after the founding of America. This nation still doesn't allow polygamy a religious issue. so what does seperation of church and state mean: the GOVERNMENT can't ENDORSE a religion but really a specific domination.

Without a balanced family environment (male father, female mother) it could technically constitute child abuse in the long run if a same-sex couple attempts to raise children, because the affect of paternal and maternal influence greatly changes the way a child thinks by giving them a two-edged sword approach to the world, while having androgynous parents would give more of a sharpened trencheon approach - one side quite sharp, the other quite dull That is one key reason why I would support civil unions in any case, but flat out marriage with the capacity to freely adopt children would be very unwise, at least in my eyes

I've heard that argument before. It sounds like a load of hypocrisy to me.
