Default 2023 NBA In-Season Tournament
Inspired by European club soccer competitions like domestic cups and continental championships, and following on the success of the similarly formatted WNBA Commissioner's Cup, the NBA is debuting a new in-season tournament and dubbing it, well, the NBA In-Season Tournament. The 30 teams were divided into six groups of five teams, based on last season's standings, and the group winners in each conference, plus the best second-place team, will advance to a knockout tournament. The semifinals and final will be in Las Vegas, while the other games will be at home arenas. All but the final will also count as regular season games.

This contest is part of the 2023-24 Legion Cup. Top finishers will also receive points toward the North American and Basketball mini-cups, and the winner will receive 2 slot-equivalents ($12m in CN aid without the FAC, $18m in CN aid with the FAC, $18m in PnW aid, or 200 tech).

Despite there being 30 teams to start, the point structure will be like a 16-team group stage tournament (1-1-2-4).
