Re: Regarding my Sister.
Man re-reading that Celeste thread brought back memories I had completely forgotten about. I wish I could forget a lot of stuff from 7 years ago.
EDIT: ALSO SEVEN YEARS AGO, WOW

Re: Drinking Age in the USA
Depends where you live. I live in Chicago and I can get anywhere in the city with public transit and a little walking. More recently I've just been splitting an uber with 2-3 friends and it'll cost...

Re: Death Penalty
This isn't a valid argument as no one is personally paying 10% of their income to keep a prisoner in prison. Of the total amount everyone pays in taxes a very small fraction goes to keeping prisoners...

Re: US Presidential Election - Contest
They wanted bipartisan support, which was stupid because the Republicans would have never supported such a thing. The democrats fucked themselves this election too. They were so hellbent on forcing...

Re: US Presidential Election - Contest
Obamacare was very good on paper. By having everyone sign up for health insurance you really could drive premiums down as you could spread out costs amongst a much bigger pool. Medicaid was expanded...

Re: US Presidential Election - Contest
I think this election speaks much more about Clinton than Trump. Clinton and the Democrats had every single advantage imaginable and fucked it because they tried railroading her into the White House.

I'll be working as an election manager tomorrow at my local polling place, and I'm about to go to sleep before having to wake up at 4:30am to do set up. I'm very anxious about tomorrow

Re: US Presidential Election - Contest
That's heavily optimistic from Trumps point of view. That leaves Clinton with 10 states. 538 has 12 states for Clinton where she has over a 90% chance of winning. She would need to lose everything...

Re: US Presidential Election - Contest
IF McMullin wins Utah and IF neither Hillary or Trump get 270 electoral votes, there is no way the Republican house votes in McMullin. They would essentially be destroying the Republican party since...

Re: US Presidential Election - Contest
Bit of a very biased example you have there, haha.
Had you posted this on like Thursday last week I would have said Clinton with 26 states/over 300 electoral votes. Now? I honestly can't say....

I'm from Chicago so I have to go Cubs over Indians. Saying 4 games to win it was very very optimistic. Hoping they win the next 4 so I get to celebrate in Wrigley

Re: Civ 6
I like it, particularly the new district system they use for cities. Adds a lot more depth to specializing cities and really makes you think about where you establish them as well.

Re: So that debate of destiny and/or doom tonight
I can't support either candidate. Trump is a xenophobic, misogynist, narcissistic liar who has nothing resembling policy. Clinton is not much better, and "will say anything and do nothing" to get...

Re: Civilizations 4.
Problem with the Navy Seals is that they are so late in the game. By that time, you really should have won or lost already.

Re: Civilizations 4.
Too many allies = Can't grow as much, less options for invasions
Too many enemies = Gangbang
Nice mix = World War, provided the other guys have allies too.

Re: Civilizations 4.
Don't over-expand. Don't build your cities too close. Don't build your cities too far. Have the same number of enemies as allies. Specialize your cities. Build navies. Found a religion ASAP.
