2019 NHL Playoffs
 

This contest will run through the playoffs and include the Stanley Cup.

You will make predictions for one round at a time.

You will earn points as follows:

1 point for each correct prediction in the first two rounds.
2 points for each correct prediction in the Conference Championship round.
4 points for predicting the winner of the Stanley Cup.

The winner of the contest is the nation ruler with the most points at the end of the playoffs. The winner will receive his choice of 200 tech or 12 million (18 million) cash at the end of the wars.

The first round has the following matchups:

Columbus vs Tampa Bay
Boston vs Toronto
Washington vs Carolina
Pittsburgh vs NY Islanders
Nashville vs Dallas
Winnipeg vs St. Louis
Calgary vs Colorado
San Jose vs Vegas

Your predictions are due at the end of the day, Tuesday April 9th.

Yes, you can participate. The only real restriction is that nations who are not approved (in-game) members of The Legion or one of our allies are ineligible for prizes. This is a public forum, after all, so we can't really restrict access as much. But assuming you are approved to join us, you will be eligible for prizes.

I haven't really been following this NHL season too closely. These picks are not well-informed.

Lightning (tied wins record)
Bruins (really good)
Capitals (at least one round)
Penguins (another rematch)
Predators (they keep winning)
Blues (can we have at least one series win?)
Flames (they're this good?)
Sharks (preseason pick of many)
