Got an illegitimate French copy in South Korea 3-5 days before US launch. It's fucking awesome. The music is jazz-infused, as crazy as that is to imagine for the Halo Universe! Firefight is crazy. Don't put it on Easy, though, or you'll have a single round that lasts for five hours (and you won't want to quit because you're fighting wave-after-wave with different variables.) I'd have already beat the game, itself, if not for Firefight mode.

Now that I think about it, what the fuck am I doing here posting about ODST? I think I'll go home and play the motherfucker some more!

I know it will be awesome but I can't justify spending full price on a game that I'll get 20 hours out of at most. I know, multiplayer can be awesome but it will attract all the rotten d-bags that made Halo 3's multplayer impossible for me to play without wanting to strangle myself. I might rent it for a week, considering how quickly I went through the used copy of BioShock I got on Saturday that should be more than enough time. :)

I was one of the people who was suckered into buying Crackdown for the Halo 3 Beta (but I didn't need it since Bungie let me into the beta early :D) so given that ODST has Halo: Reach beta access, I had to buy it.

I finished up the campaign and played a few firefights. The campaign is shorter than Halo 3's but I liked it better than Halo 3's. Firefight can literally produce hours upon hours of fun if you go in with some friends.

Just finished ODST campaign, I don't care what reviews say, It felt like a completely new campaign, a stand alone game.

Yup, me and some buddies ran through the campaign on Legendary this afternoon. Easily a 6-8 hour campaign going solo. Maybe a 3 or 4 hour experience with friends. But obviously firefight is where the game's value is, as well as the 3 new Halo 3 multiplayers maps.

I always play through on Normal to get the achievements, yes i do love achievements.....

I beat the campaign on Heroic, probably before any of you got the wrapping off of your copies. Now for Legendary. I beat Halo 3 on Legendary multiple times. And yeah, ODST felt like a completely standalone addition to the series rather than an expansion on Halo 3. A little bit short, but plenty of action.

I bought the game just after 12.00am... still was playing it at 6am. :P
