Ok i'm going to list some of my top video games of all time.
Post here with responses and lists of your favorites.
Note: This isnt including anhhy next gen consoles for those of you who dont know what that is
its Xbox 360, Ps3, Wii, Psp. and Ds.

My number is my only game i have in a particular order...all the other ones i liked to much to be able to put them in a list format.

you've got a good list there.

There's a few you've forgotten that deserve consideration, or at least i think they do. I like to rate them based on genre:

RPG: FFX, FF8, FF12, FFTactics, CronoTrigger, CronoCross, Kingdom Hearts

RTS: starcraft, Homeworld, Warcraft 2, C&C, C&C RedAlert, B&W
+TBS: most of them suck, but Civ 3 needs a mention here.

FPS: Goldeneye, Bioshock, Team fortress 2, Half Life, none (nothing else is worth mentioning, especially the horribly overrated Halo. Mostly fps have all sucked since the first Quake.)

Action: God of War, Heavenly Sword, Uncharted, Zelda: OoT, Okami

TPS: Metal Gear 4, MG3, MG, MG 2, Siphon filter.

Survival Honor: Silent Hill, Resident evil 4, Fatal Frame, Resident evil 5, Parasite Eve

Racing/cart/car combat: Mario Cart (any, they all rock), Twisted metal Black, GT3:a-spect, vigilante 8, project Gotham racing 2.

Fighting: Smash Brothers (again, take your pick which version), soul caliber 4, Tekkan Tag Tournament, Street Fighter 2, bushido blade.

Open World: GTA:SA, Mercenaries 2, GTA:VC... um... others? (not something i've played much of)

Other, Classic: Pac-Man, Centipede, missile command, contra, golden axe, final fight, mega man, Pong, tetris

RPG's dont really tickle my fancy.

All of these are outstanding games.....one game that was gay was Fable...i hated that game played it for about 30 minutes and it SUCKED!!!!!

I really love rpg's....Final Fantasy is the game i've put the most time into
roughly about 160 hours...but i got bored =(

I can't wait until 13 i hope they keep the open style battle system like they
did in 12...i hate the random batlle system....i hope people keep posting here =)

I like rating them by genre as well. My list only includes games I've played and I consider open world games to be either action or TPS's. The 'simulation' category includes both flight simulators and non-war-themed strategy games.

RPG: Fallout, Fallout 2, ESIV: Oblivion, KOTOR, Mass Effect, Diablo, Diablo II, Oregon Trail, Below The Root, AD&D - Pool of Radiance

Strategy: Warcraft II, Starcraft, C&C, Alpha Centauri, Warcraft III, Nukewar

Simulation: MS Flight Simulator 4, F/A-18 Hornet 2.0, F-117 Nighthawk, SimCity 2000, Tropico, SimTower, The Sims, Railroad Tycoon 3, Star Trek: The 25th Anniversary

FPS: Halo, Halo 3, Marathon (all three), GoldenEye, Perfect Dark, R6V2

Action: PoP: Two Thrones, GTA SA, GTA IV

TPS: SW Battlefront, SW Battlefront II, Mercenaries, Mercenaries 2, Gears of War

Racing: PGR 2, Forza Motorsport, Mario Kart 64 (I don't play a lot of these)

Fighting: Smash Bros., DOA 3 (I don't play a lot of these either)

Arcade: Tetris, Pacman, Metal Slug (take your pick), Missile Command, Crystal Quest, Escape Velocity Nova

Other: Number Munchers, Super Munchers, Amazon Trail, Yukon Trail

Masters of Orion 1.

The prefect sized TBS game. Not small, but still manageable.

I don't really have a 'favorite' game, but several that I like a lot.

FPS: Halo (1 & 2), SWAT (4), Combat Arms (PC)

Racing: Need For Speed: Underground 2, Midnight Club: 3 Dub Edition (Both XBOX)

RPG: Any of the Final Fantasy's except for 7 (sorry) with 9 being my favorite.

Browser Based: Cyber Nations (being one of the best, but also one of the most frustrating to get to know), The Fall (pretty easy)

MMORPG: Diablo (1 & 2 (and possibly 3 when it comes out)), Ragnarok Online (Server: Essence RO), Shattered Galaxy (very fun!)

And so far, my most favorite would be; Monster Rancher 1.
Today is the last day I shall play it ever. I put in a whole bunch of disks making a Carpet+Pixie, and then a Golem+Hare, and then mixed the two making a really cool Golem, which was strong as a golem, but as smart and fast as the rest of them.

I spent a year and a half working on his stats and after getting him uber strong, I moved him onto the second league where in the first match I met a golem who was far weaker than mine, but did two critical hits of 100+ (while my golem only had 116 life) and my golem died.. Which is why I shall never play it again.

I like pc games but yet i dont....i liked Elder Scrolls 3 Morrowind dor about the first 20 hours i played..but eventually it gets way to easy.

I also like Black & White 2...it was fun...but got boring as well.

Age of Empires 2...i like it but i hated the whole...population thingy..it really made me walk away from it.


One of my favorite consoles was the Snes (super nintendo)...i really like the creative games for it...Super Mario Brothers 3 rocked...Yoshi's Island really fun game...Donkey Kong was good too

nah - its an easy stomping around - head shots when you dont even have to aim at the head anymore? Granted it looks great but they shouldve done source as a 1.6 upgrade (the best ver ever)
