Default 2022–23 UEFA Europa League — Knockout Rounds
The Legion is continuing its contests for the UEFA Champions League and Europa Leagues with the knockout round contest. This is the thread for the Europa League contest.

Each round, you will pick the winners of the matches being played. The point distribution is as follows:

Round Points per correct pick
Knockout round playoffs = 1
Round of 16 = 1
Quarterfinals = 2
Semifinals = 4
Final = 8

The winner of this sub-contest will receive 1 slot of cash or tech for every 3 participants, rounded up (e.g. if there are 4 participants, it would be 2 slots).

The points from this contest will be added to the totals from the group stage contest to determine the overall champion, who will receive a prize that amounts to the sum of the group stage and knockout round prizes.

The match-ups for the round of 16 are:

Barcelona (ESP) vs Manchester United (ENG)
Juventus (ITA) vs Nantes (FRA)
Sporting CP (POR) vs Midtjylland (DEN)
Shakhtar Donetsk (UKR) vs Rennes (FRA)
Ajax (NED) vs Union Berlin (GER)
Leverkusen (GER) vs Monaco (FRA)
Sevilla (ESP) vs PSV Eindhoven (NED)
Salzburg (AUT) vs Roma (ITA)

PLEASE NOTE YOU ARE PREDICTING WHICH TEAMS WILL ADVANCE TO THE ROUND OF 16. THESE TEAMS PLAY EACH OTHER TWICE (HOME & AWAY) TO DETERMINE WHO ADVANCES TO THE ROUND OF 16

Your predictions are due February 15th.

You are correct. The missing teams (those that have a bye) will be added to this contest in the round of 16. This contest lasts through the finals.
