2017 NHL Playoffs

This contest will run through the playoffs and include the Stanley Cup.

You will make predictions for one round at a time.

You will earn points as follows:

1 point for each correct prediction in the first two rounds.
2 points for each correct prediction in the Conference Championship round.
4 points for predicting the winner of the Stanley Cup.

The winner of the contest is the nation ruler with the most points at the end of the playoffs. The winner will receive his choice of 200 tech or 12 million (18 million) cash at the end of the wars.

Boston at Ottawa
St. Louis at Minnesota
Toronto at Washington

Aha! I've not been paying much attention to NHL hockey those last years, but for once we have a contest which is about a real sport and not some strange bowdlerised version of one,¹ I have to participate.

In cases where I wasn't too sure, I made a choice in favour of eliminating the teams that didn't exist at the time when I paid attention to the NHL and whose logos I don't recognise and who get on my nerves generally speaking: the Blue Jackets, the Predators and the Wild.²
