What did everyone think of how he concluded the series? I won't type it out now, but I had some concerns with how it all unfolded. I can appreciate the artistry of how he wrapped up the story but damnit! That's not how I wanted it to end!

I kind of felt like he had an Idea in mind for the end, but either he ran out of time or space and was forced to cut some things. Maybe he didn't quite have the whole thing fleshed out and just cobbled it together without regard to the reader.
Or maybe he read the Song of Fire and Ice series before finishing the last book
