UN already slapped Iran with a sanction, so unless the US wants to piss off russia and many of the members of the UN, it wont happen.

The current active carriers are split between the two coasts and generally relieve each other of their deployments. A 2nd Fleet (East Coast) carrier group will generally relieve the 3rd Fleet (West Coast) carrier group in either of several forward deployed areas, and transition the Suez Canal (called the Ditch in Navy circles) to get there. The most active of these deployment areas at the moment are the Persian Gulf (Iraq) and Norther Indian Ocean (Afghanistan). Both of these active deployment areas are within striking distance of Iran.

The second I saw;

I know for fact this isn't true, because Fox News gets most of their ratings during war, same with CNN. The United States public is full of peace lovers who love watching bombs explode. Basically. War is profitable bsns for FoxNN.
