Chancellor Makaryk migrated with other early Cyberverse leaders from the realm of NationStates and joined the Legion on 15 February 2006. From there, North Prussia slowly developed into one of the Legion's most formidable nations, having helped those in need with aid packages during times of war.

Although his participation in the Legion comes and goes, his efforts have made a considerable impact in the development of our alliance. The Legion's first significant wartime operation occurred when the rogue New Prussia, led by Jesse Dunaway, attacked North Prussia. Following failed attempts at diplomacy, the Legion rallied around Chancellor Makaryk to rout the rogue and rebuild North Prussia.

A month later, when it became apparent that the Charter needed significant re-working, North Prussia stepped in as a member delegate to help write the one that membership approved by a unanimous vote. When that necessitated new Cabinet elections, Makaryk served as the elections chair.

During a brief return to the Cyberverse from the clutches of summer vacation, North Prussia found himself, and other Legion nations, under siege from their purple adversaries in the Warpstorm Alliance. Though the WSA nations were all too large to receive their well-deserved beat-downs from North Prussia, Chancellor Makaryk opened his coffers to those nuked. In the Barfight, North Prussia served likewise.

As summer came to a close, Makaryk returned to active duty within the Legion and became involved in the Admiralty. His experience from the early days, plus personal rapport with the Cabinet and membership alike, propelled North Prussia into one term as the Minister of Defense in October 2006. However, his term was marked with two stints requiring interim MoDs because of the great villain known as Real Life. During his term, the Legion membership voted by a wide margin to allow the Minister of Defense to prohibit unauthorized wars of aggressions.

Makaryk has often spoken of the early days of the Legion and the alliance's development, offering his services to the Academy to teach early Legion history. To this day he remains a critical fixture of advice for those who lead the Legion.
