Meh. Its just a bunch of bullshit I don't need, what with all the USB ports and nonsense. My elite works just fine and I got it right after the price dropped to $200.

Shit I wouldn't even get it for that. I got my elite in August of '09. Still 101 GB free. And the fan doesn't bother me. I've learned to tune it out. :P

Well with the fan and dvd drive going, it sounds like a jet engine. Granted my PS3 is equally as loud when its fan gets running.

I find the novelty features like touch controls to be cool as well.

For the price of a 250GB Xbox hard drive, PS3 owners can buy a 500GB drive. wtf Microsoft. :psyduck:

It's the 45nm combination chipset that'd sell it to me. It's going to generate an awful lot less heat, draw less power, and be simpler and need less airflow to cool. It'll be a lot more carpet-friendly as a consequence, and less likely to red ring of death by virtue of the die shrink and the fact that it's revision two (well, revision 3 really) hardware. They've most likely ironed out all the major design flaws at this point, and not sounding like a jet engine would be a definite plus.

It looks neat and shiny, but I've already invested massively in my current X-Box 360. It's still working better than my first 360, and my gamerscore is nearly 19000. I love the sound of a heavy X-Box360 fan in the morning, and I use the heat still produced to heat anti-mosquito pads because I leave the windows open in my apartment and we're heading into mosquito season. I don't need more than the 2 USB ports, anyways, and I don't know enough about he controllerless features or whatever they're talking about to make a judgement call on that yet...
