A lot of you probably have no idea who I am. I am the current leader of Ikariam Legion. I am thinking of playing cybernations and had a question.
Does it matter where I place my country on the map?
If yes, where should I place my country?
Any pointers that could help me with a smooth start?

No mate it is merely the players personal preferences and doesn’t effect your game play at all. We have lots of great guides on how to help new nations, various aid programmes and so forth so we can answer those questions once you have joined. All I can suggest is that you select purple team.

No.

Don't get stuck with lame resources. If you do, delete your nation & re-create it until you have an awesome combination of resources for trade.

Those are good resources, if you can get the right trades you can get 7/8 bonuses, look at my trades! :P

Gold/Oil are horrid resources. You should seriously re-roll. Even though Mel says the 8 bonus resources are good, they aren't. Trust me.
