Ya know, I heard somewhere that those ads are based upon whatever the user happens to be looking at...

Yeah, those ads are definitely related to the user's prior history. There was a guy in ML with the same trouble two weeks ago, and now we know how he rolls. :D

Oh enough you guys. Google Adsense generates ads based upon the web page's content, not the user's viewing history. Doing so would violate the user's privacy and this practice has already come under fire from a separate ad company using this practice through cookies.

See the links below the ad? They're all for IPB. The image ad is a generic one in its place. Remember all the John McCain ads on the Legion? Generic ads are placed when the spider can't crawl the page since it doesn't have a forum account. Sorry to burst the bubble on Sinatra's orientation :P
