Feedback regarding the new forums

Hey guys,

Welcome to the new forums. We managed to set these up & configure them all within seven or so hours, fairly quickly for a forum launch. Again, things are not complete, there is plenty more we need to fix, like getting everyone's usergroup markup completed. But in the meantime, explore the new site, figure out the features and explore.

Your feedback is most appreciated. Again since this is day one, the skin is very very purple. Something we will work on correcting. Smilies are #2.

A bit too much pink and purple and are we able to put a ticker up the top and all government positions and defcon links etc

But yeah, we're going to change out the buttons, and some of the table headers with lighter colors. But we did have to throw something up since some people were getting impatient. The style is just one of the cosmetic things, easy to change.

I did kill the social bookmarks...Legion doesn't really have any need for them. Althought useful for other forums I'm sure...Also changed the color of the messages to standard black and killed a fair amount of purple text.

Awsome. Are we able to change the style of the buttons like the "Add Reply" buttons. They look a bit.. well strage and dont really suit the forums.

Looking good so far. Just wondering... is there a way to bunch it up a lil more? The only reason I ask is because there is a lot of scrolling on that main forum page. The sub-forum boxes seem to be quite big. No big deal though honestly.

edit: Is there a way to add my usual phrase "Have you ever seen a commie drink a glass of water?" under my avvy? I cant seem to find where to do that..?

Also, I believe a concerted effort to make this new forum known to the Cyberverse should be made. Has a BB thread been created yet? Or are we waiting until some more kinks are worked out?

I'm not sure if this thread or the other one is the official feedback thread- but here's what I posted on the other one

The thing that matters most is who's on the forums and that won't change

That said I love them - but I wish the quote buttons, page numbers etc was the same type of purple as the old bird banner (erm edit old bird for proud pheonix) as it looks a little scruffy atm (but thats nit picking)

Forum bug...? I sent GLU a friend request and he sent one back, but it seems whenever I click to accept it it doesn't work. But Skrewer sent me one and his worked.

I imagine that we'll added a usergroup legend. Things are fairly self-explanatory for the moment.

Also, signatures of only 500 characters? Granted, it doesn't count BBCode, but still. :P

As I mentioned in another topic, I have some of the old smilies stashed away and can get someone a link if you want.

Only because that is the way things have been set. You can edit a post within 24 or so hours I believe. Otherwise need mod power.
