I'm tired of running through PS3 fanboys in youtube. I need a good argument, this is a poll just for PS3 vs. X-Box360

Nope, actually doing just fine, with:

More powerful hard drive
Full, free internet access (with WiFi for your wireless nets)
About the same cost of the 360, after you buy accessories and pay for Xbox live (Friend of mine actually did a price comparison, I'll get it for you)
General kick-assness
Storage of videos, music, photos in addition to games
Downloadable classics such as FF7 and Worms
And so on

*Backwards Compatibility
*More than three good Games
*XBL being infinitely superior to PSN

PS3 has better graphics and more powerful processing capability, plus blu-ray. Xbox has everything else.

At the cost of?

My PS3 has Backwards compatibility...I have almost 20 PS3 games, all of them are pretty damn good from where I'm sitting...

Why is it better? Servers and lag aren't different, XBL doesn't offer any useful things that are worth paying for, and don't forget that XBL is useless if your 360 is broken...

the average lifespan of a 360 is under a year. they burn out too damn fast. plus the extra 50 bucks and you get a blueray player built in. ps3 is the hands down winner.

sorry, xbl is better, but it's not enough of a difference to have to pay a monthly fee for.

plus 99% of the games are on both systems, so you cant say that either has better games.

I've had mine for well over a year. and you say Halo is played out, You say that only because its still so popular, way more popular than any PS3 game.

nope, that was someone else.

i liked it, played all 3. but other then it being pretty and having well designed levels there's nothing special about it. There's nothing in it that hasn't been done by 100's of other shooters. the entire genre is stale, with perhaps the exception of bioshock.

Yes but there really isn't an equivalent for the PS3, except Resistance and that game was Mediocre.

let me make this clear. i own both systems. play both regularly.

The ONLY advantage the 360 has is xbl, but the fact that microsoft makes you pay for it is crap. Throw in the red ring of death and burned up video cards and all that trouble and it's not even worth it. the system doesn't even support true HD.

The PS3's main issue is price, but it's only $50 more. that's less the 1 game. For the extra cash you get to play games in 1080p, a built in blue-ray player, a system that wont die in under a year, online gaming you don't have to pay for, and less loading times for games (since EVERY system has a HD, and developers plan for it). Did i mention the blue-ray player?

Seriously, 360 fanboys have nothing to stand on in this debate. Everyone i've ever talked to who's owned both prefers their ps3. it's just like last generation, when everyone who owned both a ps2 and an xbox liked their xbox better (despite it's smaller game library).

Yes, there are more 360s out there since it came out a year earlier and the ps3 had a very slow start, but worlwide the ps3 is outselling the 360 almost 2-1 worldwide right now, so that lead will disappear soon enough.

These polls are pointless. people always vote for whatever system they own. who cares. listen to the people who own both and they'll tell you which system is clearly better.

every shooter is equivalent. seriously, there hasn't been any significant difference in any game in the genre since the original half-life.

and no, resistance wasn't mediocre. it was a very well made game. I actually found it more fun then halo 3, mainly because halo 3 was exactly the same as 1 and 2. at least resistance wasn't a boring rehash.

besides, if you want to talk exclusives, i'd rather have uncharted and heavenly sword then halo, fable and those crap rpgs by the former final fantasy creator.

I've played both. Don't own either. I'm too damn old, and aint got the time to buy one.

My two cents though. PS3 hands friggin down. And I've played XBOX 360 more. No way it touches the PS3. The free internet access puts it waaay over the microsoft money box. And you can't touch that processing power with a 360.

Plus I'm still butthurt over how Microsoft just up and bailed on it's original XBOX users. Fuck Microsoft....I'm done giving them my money.

How do 360 owners have nothing to stand on. I say PS3 owners have nothing. Blu-Ray, big deal I don't have either My DVD player works fine. 3 months of XBL is only 20 dollars. whoop di do. A year is only 50 so its a better deal. All I can see myself playing is Uncharted, Resistance, and Metal Gear Solid. Uncharted=No multiplayer, Resistance= Mediocre. Maybe Killzone.

The problem with the wii is that it's all party games. there's nothing on the system for gamers.

I have a Wii...got it more for my girls...it's an awesome system. I love playing it, but yes...it does not cater to the usual "sit on your ass and play for hours type gamer".

It's a wonderous system for a lot of choice games. But an old school gamer like me doesn't get his fix from that. I thought I could...but there are still times when I just wanna sit there and friggin play....not swing my arm to make Mario jump, or have to stand up to play some golf. (BTW..I've crafted the art of playing the wii while sitting mind you :)...I'm a lazy fuck.) Graphics wise...it's on par with the OG Xbox.

3 games and 2 that are announced. (though you forgot zelda which would make it 4). Compare that to the 80+ on the other 2 systems.

Gamers aren't buying the Wii. People like my wife are buying it. she's not a gamer.

Sure it's a fun system, and it IS revolutionizing gaming (wait till the next generation when all 3 systems have a motion controller). Lets face it, if you own all 3 sestems and you're sitting around by yourself and decide to fire up a game, how often are you likely to be turning on your Wii? not very...

There are more non-gamers than gamers, and Nintendo just changed the way the industry works. It was getting more and more oriented for gamers only anyways, and since Nintendo has done this, it's going to open up more.

The more the industry grow, the more games we'll have, and the more games we'll have.

agreed, but this discussion was about which system was better, not which business strategy is better. In that debate nintendo wins hands down.

pish, who cares about consoles? get a real PC and play better games like crysis. You can chuck blue-ray in a pc, better graphics, bigger storage, faster processors, better online capabilities, just everything, media storage etc etc etc.

360, based on personal preference on game selection. 360 and PS3 share a lot of games, but the ones I really like playing are 360 specific.

While I do plan on buying a PS3 in a year or two, right now their just aren't enough PS3 games that I want that I can't get on my 360. Though that is changing, with the release of inFamous the list of PS3 games I wanna play is beginning to grow to the point where buying the system is justified.

And just for the record, I'm not a fan of Halo. My preference for 360 has nothing to do with Halo. :P

Personally I still like the N64 because Star-fox 64 is like crack, and Goldeneye, rampage, supersmash bros are all still cool. Also, the controller is just kickass in shape.

I have had the same X-box 360 for years, I love it. My brother got a uesd one that just a few days ago got the red-ring, but mine hasn't. Still love halo, but I also love Star-trek shatterd universe (fighter simulator fyi).

I've played the PS3, still can't get over not liking the controller, just don't like it.

Wii has the Wii-mote, that's all it has going for it. Now that they decided that core-gamers really weren't their main demographic. I don't want to boost my brain by clicking on buttons, that's why we have books. Every game they've made after picman has failled hard.

But, I must say again, DOS games beat everything else.

As some one who owns both consoles I would say the PS3 is better. When it comes down to it there will be a new Microsoft console with in the next 2-3 years. There won't be a PS4 for another 7-8 years. This is due to there hardware. 360 uses DVD-9 which has a maximum capacity of 7 to 8 gigs (Or so I am told). Contrast that to Blue-Ray which has a maximum of 50 gigs. The new Final Fantasy game may have to be on between 4 and 8 discs. 8 discs!!
