I've already said most of the following to Xionide on PM a week or so ago, but I should really take the time to introduce myself to you all, the membership, as well. I need to do this because I have rarely ever spoken to many players outside of ODN or IRON, my old alliance. I'll start by telling you a little bit about my history on Planet Bob:
My nation is around 500 days old, I spent the first three months or so in IRON but then myself and some others (including Shilo, the ODN Senator) went into exile in ODN to help out during GWIII almost exactly one year ago. We were both nearly ZIed, but we were glad to do it for what we saw as a noble cause and we anarchied and destroyed numerous GOONS nations in the process.
I should mention, while we were leaving IRON there was a 50/50 chance that we would end up in Legion. For better or worse, due to the reality that we were already in the Orange Trading Sphere, we went to ODN and have been ever since.
I've always thought that Legion has the best flag in CN!
I've always had the very warm feelings towards Legion characteristic of ODN members since before my time. I was extremely upset over Purplegate and the resulting misfortune for our Legion brothers and am thrilled that your alliance has regained its autonomy and nullified some of the major CN threats to your safety through MDPs. While I had hesitations over reinstating ORRPLE, I've read some of the things that your leaders and members have said and I realized that resurrecting our traditional close ties was a deadly serious priority for Legion and that the hesitations of ODN members were based on false assumptions or incomplete understandings of the situation.
I should say that I'm not much of a spammer, I haven't really done IRC lately, but I am starting to spend some time in the Legion forums checking out the Embassy and improving my scores at the Arcade (not necessarily in that order.) I will be reachable daily through CN ingame PM, ODN PM, and hopefully at the Legion forums as well.
Please let me know anything you think is important to understand about Legion, Legion's outlook on Planet Bob, or the current state of ORRPLE. I'm sorry if I come off as amateurish at this diplomacy thing, I'm completely new to it in CN; I look forward to hearing from you! :signs007:
